If you are just now trying to get into the industry, we can offer you some very helpful advice that could save you thousands of dollars, or help you avoid making severe mistakes.  In addition, let us know if you need advice on getting into acting. The first and most important pictures in a portfolio are the head shots; those are the ones we do best.

You also need side profiles, full length, and half body shots.  A variety of looks or different types of outfits is also necessary.  Getting your pictures taken by several different photographers will also give your portfolio more diversity.  Whether you are trying to get a portfolio started or if you just need to update your portfolio, contact us today for an appointment.

Industry:
The modeling industry has very strict standards.  If you have your pictures taken by just any random photographer, or an amateur photographer who works for a model agency, you can easily wind up paying way too much money and then have to pay to take them all over again with a different photographer who actually has experience shooting model portfolios.

Clothing:
Be sure to wear solid colors.  Darker colors work best.  Avoid loud, distracting patterns or prints, labels, logos, and words. Wear clothes that fit you well and that are not baggy.  Try to be current; wearing clothes that are out of style will make your portfolio look dated.  Be sure to bring shoes to match each outfit.

Pose:
Not sure how to pose?  Not a problem.  We are accustomed to patiently explaining how to pose for the camera.  There are a variety of types of model pictures to take. Although we specialize in model head shots, we also provide the following types of shots: casual, fashion, swimwear, editorial, commercial/promotional, fitness, and runway.
